This weekend, we have a 12-fight card at Sweden. It turned out to be a 13-fight card, but we only had Oezdemir/Latifi fall off, so be sure they are not in your lineups. DraftKings has some strong contests for us to acquire a great deal of cash from this week. The main GPP is a $15 buy and $25k goes to 1st place with a total of 100k being paid out. They also have a new Qualifier only contest for $175,000. There will be 100 qualifiers for that competition and they’ll compete for a $50k first location cost and that $175k will be distributed between all 100 admissions that qualify. I will try to receive my 3rd seat this week if possible. Those Qualifier only competitions can be real bankroll suckers, so be cautious chasing those too hard. I’ll likely stick to the very best GPP this week and throw a small number of entries at that $25k prize, then I will take a couple shots in the Q. I will also be posting H2Hs as well as picking up H2Hs through the week to receive a good quantity of play into money games.
With that said, let’s get into a few plays I enjoy this week along with my fade of the week:
Money Game play of the week — Alexander Gustafsson — $9,300
Gus is my confident pick of the card this week and he’s also the biggest betting favorite on the card. I think we can stack this main event in money games and use both Gus and Anthony Smith, but I am not positive whether I will do this or not. I will for sure have Gustafsson in my cash lineup however and he’s who I will be starting that lineup with. With 5-rounds to work with I believe he’s the maximum ceiling about the card and that I think he gets a finish inside this fight. Possibly with multiple takedowns. He will be extremely well known in GPPs so if you want to get away from him I think the tournaments are the areas for that. I will be locking him into my cash lineup though personally.
GPP drama of this week — Tonya Evinger — $8,600
On DraftKings, I enjoy Evinger in her fight and that I have zero interest in Lansberg. Evinger’s best path to victory is punishing Lansberg on the floor and that scores tremendously if she can do that. I also think she could get a finish. I believe she is in play in all formats and I do think she’s 100+ upside down here and that is why she is my GPP play of this week. There are not a lot of UFC matchups I would say that for with Evinger at this stage in her career, but this one seems perfect for her. I think she dominates this fight and finishes it with ground in pound in around 2 or 1. If that is the case, she must score well and possibly win somebody $25k.
Underdog drama of the week — Devin Clark — $7,500
I feel pressured to play with Devin Clark this week because he’s only $7.5k but he’s the present gaming favorite. I really like that type of value on DraftKings and that’s what’s forcing me to roll up him. We must include”underdogs” in our DK lineups and if we could really get a favorite, or even a roster with 6 favorites, then which helps our likelihood of hitting all 6 fights and taking down a GPP. Clark ought to be hot this week as well because of this value, therefore I think he’s in play for a cash game cube and if you want, but in GPPs you will want to get him more than ~33% of your lineups to get any leverage over the area.
Fade of this week — Duda Santana $8,600
Duda Santana is a simple fade for me this week. She’s $8.6k but she’s the underdog on the betting line. She’s also +365 to acquire ITD. If I’m paying that price on DK I want higher completing upside or somebody who will be going for a great deal of takedowns. I don’t see her having a lot of a ceiling in this fight even though she does win so I do not see her being around the $25k lineup. That’s the reason I will be full fading Santana this week. If I had been making 150 lineups then I would include her in the combination, but I would need 50 lineups until I even considered using her.
