Usyk vs Witherspoon: Oleksandr Usyk stops Chazz Witherspoon to win heavyweight debut

Oleksandr Usyk was vicious in his first fight as a heavyweight, forcing Chazz Witherspoon to retire following the first round.

The fast feet and hands of the Usyk turned into a nightmare for the larger Witherspoon in Chicago, before his rival could not continue and he landed punches at will.
The victory was a staged introduction in the heavyweight division for Usyk, that last season became the undisputed cruiserweight champion by winning the World Boxing Super Series. He immediately signalled his intention to eventually become the boxer ever to bring a heavyweight domain to gold.
Usyk was two and a half stone lighter compared to his opponent, and it showed, as he glided in and out of scope, but it also gave his speed with his feet.
His left hand from the southpaw stance started to slide through Witherspoons protector.
Witherspoon, a 38-year-old who arrived at a few days notice strove to thunder counter punches that were large and he could never be discouraged by him, even though he did grab Usyk.
Usyks movement began to drown. The Ukrainian managed to land shots at will at the round. The referee considered stopping the struggle here, but did not act.
From the seventh Usyk searched for its knockout, landing on a barrage of shots that are unanswered. Witherspoon couldnt catch up, and remained upright but wilted back to his stool.
Usyk keeps his position as the mandatory challenger to the WBO heavyweight title that Andy Ruiz Jr will shield against Anthony Joshua on December 7, now live on Sky Sports Box Office. Following year, usyk hopes to dispute the winner.
