Emmanuel Sanders considers Week 1 return ‘realistic’
Emmanuel Sanders will not place himself on a timetable, but the Denver Broncos receiver is eyeing being ready for the beginning of the season.
Sanders told Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic on Monday being prepared for Week 1″seems sensible,” but won’t put a concrete timetable on his recovery from an Achilles injury.

The 32-year-old receiver popped his Achilles on Dec. 5. Sanders posted a video a good indication, in early June conducting routes for the speed of his rehabilitation.
The Broncos are likely to ease their No. 1 receiver back to things slowly when training camp opens on July 17, and we might not see Sanders whatsoever during the preseason.
Sanders being Week 1 ready would be a boon for quarterback Joe Flacco. Last year, the Broncos offense struggled without the veteran receiver. Having a new crime, a new QB, a revamped O-line and climbing young receivers in Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton, the hope is Denver could defy an abbreviated absence if Sanders overlooks the start of the year or is not prepared for a complete workload at the opener.
After he is healthy, Sanders told Jhabvala the following Pro Bowl season jobs.
