Phil Simmons reappointed West Indies head coach
Phil Simmons was reappointed as West Indies head coach, three decades later he was sacked in the position.
The 56-year-old prior opening batsman previously held the function from 2015-16, with the Windies winning the ICC World T20 beneath Simmons until he was released due todifferences in society and tactical strategy.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) had drawn up a shortlist of applicants including Simmons, former batsman Desmond Haynes and Floyd Reifer, that oversaw West Indies disappointing World Cup campaign in England as interim coach.
Simmons, who most recently coached Afghanistan and led Ireland from 2007, will return to the function.
