After documenting her win for two decades number two Heather Watson has reached the quarter finals of their Tianjin Open.
Watson took an hour and 20 minutes to beat second seed Wang Qiang 6-3 6-0 – who attained the US Open.
Watson had not conquered a player but commanded contrary to Wang – asserting her victory because a win over afterward World No19 Anastasija Sevastova at Wimbledon in 2017.
In the last eight, the Magda Linette, who advanced after the retirement of Kurumi Nara when she was 4-0 down at the first set of Poland will be faced by Watson.
Another win will be sufficient to propel Watson back .
